TRADE: Apple ][ GS for Tandy TRS-80 Model 1
ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Vintage Computing traded for a Tandy TRS-80 Model 1. The collection has Models 2,3 and 4p and it has a piece to complete the 1977 Trinity of computers.
ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Vintage Computing has added a significant new system to the collection through a trade: a Tandy/Radio Shack TRS-80 Model I. Introduced in 1977, the Model I was one of the landmark “1977 Trinityâ€ of personal computers, alongside the Apple II and Commodore PET, and helped bring computing out of specialist hobby circles and into homes, schools, and small businesses through Radio Shack’s nationwide retail network.

The Model I is remembered for its built-in keyboard design, distinctive 64 × 16 monochrome text display, optional floppy-disk Expansion Interface, and even its affectionate “Trash-80 nickname. More importantly, it represents a formative moment in computing history: a complete, affordable personal computer sold through ordinary retail stores, proving that there was a broad public market for personal computing.
