On Nov. 18, Join Dr. Prosenjit Bose from 杏吧原创鈥檚 School of Computer Science for the 2025 Herzberg Lecture, where he will explore the question:鈥淚s There Structure Hidden in the Chaos of a Bunch of Dots?鈥
Imagine a map of scattered dots representing clinics, cell towers, or fire stations. How do we determine the optimal locations to serve communities or improve services? Dr. Bose will introduce two powerful geometric concepts, Voronoi diagrams and Delaunay triangulations, that help uncover hidden patterns in such data, with applications ranging from city planning to biology.
