Tiwa Lawal

Tiwa Lawal completed her MASc in Sustainable Energy Engineering and Policy in 2015.  For her research she modified the ESP-r building performance simulation tool to assess the feasibility of using model predictive control to actuate blinds to reject excessive passive solar gains with the aim of minimizing energy consumption and building overheating.  This led to the current work of experimentally assessing this concept in the .

Since completing her MASc, Tiwa worked at performing energy savings measurement and verification of buildings and LEED certification project management, and now works as an HVAC Systems Applications Specialist at . She is also a licensed professional engineer in the province of Ontario.
