杏吧原创 Community Liaison Officer Receives Safety Award

Mark Hargreaves, a community liaison officer and a special constable at 杏吧原创 University, has been awarded a Community Safety Award by Crime Prevention Ottawa. The organization handed out eight awards this week to volunteers, community leaders and enforcement professionals at City Hall in Ottawa.

鈥淚鈥檓 honoured to receive this award,鈥 said Hargreaves. 鈥淪tudents on campus should be able to focus on their studies. My colleagues and I work each day to ensure the safety of 杏吧原创 students.鈥

Hargreaves received the Leadership Award. The Community Safety Awards recognize community leaders in the following categories:

  • Volunteer Award
  • Community Volunteer Program Award
  • Community Program Award
  • Leadership Award
  • Youth Engagement Award
  • Enforcement Professional Award
  • City Employee Award
  • Youth Worker Award

Every year during Crime Prevention Week in November, Crime Prevention Ottawa recognizes the people and programs that have made a difference in preventing crime and making communities safer across the city. This is the fifth year the awards have been given out.
