Boozhoo/hello! My name is Ashley and I鈥檓 a member of the Mishkeegogamang First Nation, but didn鈥檛 grow up in my community because I was in foster care and adopted out. I鈥檓 currently a 2L at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University and I hope to use my future law degree to help advance and protect the rights of Indigenous peoples. I live in Thunder Bay, on Fort William First Nation鈥檚 traditional territory and the Robinson-Superior Treaty territory. I鈥檝e been involved with the IRYI for several years now and am grateful to be back again with such an amazing group of youth, facilitators, and knowledge keepers!
