Maria A. Rogers (Sabbatical)

Tier II Canada Research Chair in Child and Youth Mental Health and Well-being, Associate Professor

Dr. Maria A. Rogers is ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s Tier II Canada Research Chair in Child and Youth Well-being. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, Dr. Rogers’ research endeavours to understand how relationships impact the educational and emotional development of children and youth. A core area of her research examines the relational health of children with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and its associations with children’s learning.

As co-founder of the , Dr. Rogers’ lab is also investigating chronic absenteeism in children and teens, and its associations with child and parent mental health, children’s learning, and children’s relational health at school.

Dr. Rogers is a Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist who is registered to practice in Ontario and Québec. She has a personal interest in the well-being and education of Indigenous children, and works clinically alongside several Indigenous community members, schools, and families.
