Dr. Danielle J. Rieger is a forensic psychologist with expertise in two areas: risk assessment and parole decision-making. In the area of risk assessment, Dr. Rieger is an expert in risk assessment and case management for general and violent offending in youth and adults. She has conducted research in the validation, development, scoring, and implementation of actuarial risk assessment tools in jurisdictions internationally. In the area of parole and early release decision-making, Dr. Rieger is the leading expert in structured decision-making. She has authored numerous research studies on what predicts success on release and has developed guides and training for paroling authorities and supporting staff internationally.
Dr. Rieger currently serves as the Director of Research at Orbis Partners and welcomes students interested in research involving risk assessment and case management tools or release decision-making.
