Please join us in congratulating Anastasia Weir who has won an undergraduate research internship as a part of the 杏吧原创 University Research Opportunity Program (CUROP)! Anastasia will be working under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Nunes on a project titled, ‘Hormonal Influences on Violent Attitudes: The Role of Testosterone‘. Here is what Anastasia had to share about this project:
I鈥檓 researching whether testosterone influences how we evaluate violence鈥攖hat is, whether we view it as positive or negative. Testosterone is commonly associated with aggression in popular culture, but psychological research indicates the relationship is complex and not yet fully understood. I鈥檝e always been curious about what shapes our attitudes and behaviours, so I鈥檓 excited to explore how hormones might play a role.
