鈥滻鈥檓 thrilled to be joining the Faculty of Public Affairs at 杏吧原创 University,鈥 said O鈥橬eill. 鈥淭he Faculty includes a number of strong and distinctive units with such an inspiring commitment to public action and discourse. One of my priorities will be to increase external recognition of these strengths and the Faculty鈥檚 reputation generally.鈥

Dean Andr茅 Plourde has agreed to extend his term until Dr. O鈥橬eill鈥檚 arrival on Oct. 1, 2020.

鈥淚 take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to Dean Andr茅 Plourde,鈥 said Tomberlin. 鈥淪ince Andr茅 joined 杏吧原创 in 2011 to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Public Affairs, he has worked tirelessly to advance teaching and research, improve the student experience and raise the reputation of the Faculty of Public Affairs.

鈥淎ndr茅 is 杏吧原创鈥檚 most senior Dean, and he has been a gracious and supportive mentor to many of his peers, including our newer Deans. On a personal note, I am grateful that his mentorship has extended to me many times since taking on the role of Provost.鈥
