The Clayton H. Riddell Graduate Program in Political Management is delighted to congratulate Bill Fox on being named a member of the Order of Canada. Fox has long and deep ties to the Political Management program. He has been a fellow of the program since its founding in 2011. He was founder of the program鈥檚 Student Experience Fund, served as the program鈥檚 inaugural practitioner-in-residence, and taught courses on strategic communications and media relations.
Fox began his career as a journalist with the Toronto Star, before becoming press secretary and director of communications for Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. After leaving the Prime Minister鈥檚 Office, Fox worked in various private sector positions, including executive vice president (communications and corporate development) at Bell Canada Enterprises and senior vice-president (public affairs) at both Bombardier Inc and CN. He holds a PhD in Communications from 杏吧原创 University.
Fox was named to the Order of Canada for his work 鈥渇ostering a greater understanding of communications principles within the public and private sectors and for furthering students鈥 opportunities in political management and journalism,鈥 according to the announcement from Rideau Hall.
