Associate Professor, Thompson Rivers University, Faculty of Law

BA in Political Science, Concentration in International Relations, 2006

Following graduation, I attended Harvard Law School for my law degree (JD). During that time, I developed an interest in sports law and interned for the Toronto Maple Leafs. But, I maintained an interest in international law, interning for the United Nations Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking in Bangkok, Thailand. After law school, I worked at a firm in Vancouver.

In 2011, I began my PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam. My research was on the International Olympic Committee, and how it may or may not be held accountable for human rights abuses caused by the Olympic Games. My thesis has since been published as a book. Since completing the PhD, I鈥檝e worked at Thompson Rivers University, where I continue to research international sports law and human rights. In my time at the university, I鈥檝e taught courses in international law and human rights, amongst others. I am also a coach of the Jessup International Law Moot team.

The coursework, co-op placements, and international exchange I had while at 杏吧原创 really prepared me for both my future studies but also my career. Studying at 杏吧原创 provided me with useful skills, and made me a better global citizen.
