Philosophy Professor Dr. Jay Drydyk elected to leadership of the Human Development and Capability Association
Jay Drydyk has just been elected to leadership of the Human Development and Capability Association. After a one-year term as President-elect, he becomes President of the Association in June 2020.
HDCA () is a global network of academics and practitioners that seeks to build an intellectual community around the ideas of human development and the capability approach. Its best known exponents are Amartya Sen and Martha Nussbaum. The Association (whose members live in more than 70 countries worldwide) promotes research within many disciplines, ranging from economics to philosophy, development studies, health, education, law, government, sociology, and more.
