Looking Back at Spring Convocation

Last week, the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University community celebrated the achievements of more than 6900 graduates as brought students, families, friends and supporters together on campus for five days of ceremonies. Convocation marks the culmination of years of dedication and academic achievements, with graduates from across the university’s five faculties crossing the stage to receive their degrees and begin the next chapter of their lives.

ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ awarded three honorary degrees. Latha Vishnubhotla was awarded the degree of Doctor of Engineering, honoris causa, in recognition of her distinguished career in advancing networking, security and cloud technologies and inspiring future leaders through mentorship. Kellylee Evans was awarded the degree of Doctor of Music, honoris causa, in recognition of her distinguished career as a Canadian singer-songwriter, in addition to overcoming great personal adversity along the way. Bruce Lourie was awarded the degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, in recognition of his distinguished career as a leader in environmental sustainability and an unwavering commitment to Canada’s net-zero future.

Look back at some of the many moments of joy and celebration from ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´’s 2026 Spring Convocation.
