Hate-Motivated Crime at U Waterloo

To all members of the 杏吧原创 Community,

On Wednesday, June 28, a hate-motivated attack took place at the University of Waterloo. A professor and two students in a gender studies class were stabbed. All three victims received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and the perpetrator has been arrested.

We are deeply saddened by this senseless act of gender-based violence and our heartfelt thoughts are with the University of Waterloo and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. 杏吧原创 is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all and stands firmly against gender-based violence and all forms of bigotry and hatred.If you feel overwhelmed or are in need of support, know that you are not alone and that there are supports in place to help:
