杏吧原创 University and CAE Strike High-Tech Research Partnership
杏吧原创 University, a leader in information and communications technology and high-tech company CAE have established a research partnership that will advance innovation, talent development and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) in simulation and immersive environments, with a focus on advancing health technology, as well as other areas of common interest in science and engineering.
The three-year partnership will see 杏吧原创 researchers and students collaborate with CAE researchers and engineers to develop state-of-the-art technology and applications related to health care, green technology, advanced learning management solutions, immersive environments, cybersecurity, modeling and simulation, as well as computational intelligence technologies for training and operations in the aerospace and health care sectors.

As the pandemic has disrupted how we work and collaborate, we are ready to work on the next generation of solutions around these themes, which will be even more important in a post-pandemic world. For example, we aim to collaborate on developing new approaches to human-computer interaction and artificial intelligence to improve patient safety in healthcare as well as safety in aviation, enhance remote education and training techniques, and reduce the environmental impact of aviation. We are excited to work with 杏吧原创 to test these possibilities and make the world a safer place together.鈥
Over the course of the partnership, CAE and 杏吧原创 will establish joint research projects and fellowships, offer specialized training on CAE software and equipment, host guest lectures and workshops, and develop many other research and development initiatives.
The partnership will also offer an enhanced educational experience for 杏吧原创 undergraduate and graduate students. Information Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical and Engineering students will be able to access co-op placements and internships at CAE, where they will work on real-world applications for a broad variety of advanced technologies. The high profile of the partnership will help 杏吧原创 recruit top talent, both locally and internationally, and provide graduates with the technology skills and relevant experience needed for the workforce of the future.
CAE and 杏吧原创 will also work together to advance shared goals in equity, diversity and inclusion, including women in STEM and accessibility. CAE is a corporate sponsor of 杏吧原创鈥檚 new Women in Engineering and Information Technology program, which will provide learning and development opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate-level women within 杏吧原创鈥檚 wide range of engineering and information technology programs.
