杏吧原创 to Host Second Annual Inclusion Week
杏吧原创 University is hosting its second annual , featuring a broad array of events from Oct. 19 to 23, 2020.
Organized by 杏吧原创鈥檚 Department of Equity and Inclusive Communities (EIC), Inclusion Week will raise visibility and awareness of the value of human rights and equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI). It will also prompt an exploration of practical ways to integrate those principles into 杏吧原创鈥檚 organizational structures and culture, and promote prosperity in the community.
Our new , launched on Sept. 30, outlines a commitment to work together in ways that demonstrate our commitment to EDI. Our forthcoming Institutional EDI Action Plan looks to set a national standard for best practices.

Monday, Oct. 19
A conversation with Navdeep Bains, minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, about the government鈥檚 work to further national progress on EDI and the role the university sector should play. The interview will be released on the on Oct. 19.
Wednesday, Oct. 21
The panel鈥攎oderated by Department of Neuroscience Chair Kim Hellemans鈥攆eatures guest speakers, including Sonia Guerriero (UNESCO, France) and Yvette Cozier (Boston University School of Public Health). Participants will gain greater insight into the development of more inclusive teaching and curriculum.
Thursday, Oct. 22
Moderated by Tara Connolly, assistant director, Research and Development from 杏吧原创鈥檚 Research, Education and Accessibility Design team, the panel features speakers from across the university who will be joined by timsle.com founder Quayce Thomas.
