ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University will host the inaugural Psychology Let’s Talk Lecture – Substance Use and Mental Health: Breaking Down Barriers to Care and Improving Outcomes. The lecture will be presented by Dr. Kim Corace, clinical psychologist and director of clinical programming and research in the Substance Use and Concurrent Disorders program at .

Many systemic barriers and silos make it difficult for people with substance use and mental health problems to access the care they need. In this lecture, Corace will discuss her work developing and evaluating innovative care models to reduce barriers and improve mental health and substance use outcomes. She will highlight the important role of evidence-based psychological therapies in order to enhance the delivery of care. Corace will discuss how collaborative partnerships, including engaging people with lived experience, are crucial to driving system change.

In addition to her role at The Royal, Corace is an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at University of Ottawa, as well as an adjunct research professor at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University.
