杏吧原创's Canada Research Chairs Action Plan Scores Well in Formal Review

The (CRCP) has conducted a formal review of the equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) action plans for all Canadian academic institutions with five or more chair allocations. The results of the review are .

Institution plans were first submitted in December 2018 and were formally reviewed by an external panel of experts using a two-phase process. In each phase, the panel gave each plan one of the following ratings: exceeds, fully satisfies, satisfies, partially satisfies, or does not satisfy program requirements.

杏吧原创 University was one of just 13 institutions rated as 鈥渇ully satisfies.鈥

On May 4, 2017, the CRCP launched its focused on improving the program鈥檚 governance, transparency and monitoring to address long-standing equity, diversity and inclusion challenges.

EDI plans guide institutional efforts for sustaining participation and/or addressing under-representation of individuals from four federally designated groups (women, Indigenous people, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities) among their chair allocations. Plans were developed in collaboration with individuals from each of the four designated groups, chair holders, faculty and administrators responsible for implementing the program at each institution.
