The steam line was repaired Friday evening. Hot water and heating is restored in ARISE, Herzberg, Richcraft Hall and the University Centre.

However, repairs in Steacie are not yet complete, and the water has been shut off to washrooms and kitchens on the south side of the building. It will remain off until further notice.

Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.

Facilities Management and Planning appreciates your patience as we complete these emergency repairs.

Please be advised there is a steam shutdown which will affect heating and hot water in the following buildings:

There will be no hot water or heat in these buildings for approximately 24 hours. Normal operations are expected to resume by Saturday afternoon, May 25, 2019.

In addition, the lighting in the tunnels from University Centre to Herzberg and ARISE has been switched to emergency power, and as a result the lighting levels are lower than normal.

Thank you for your understanding.
