杏吧原创 University鈥檚 , professor in the in the Faculty of Engineering and Design, will host a demonstration of connected autonomous vehicle technology and simulated cyberattacks on the automobile鈥檚 collective artificial intelligence (AI) system.

While connected autonomous vehicles are seen by many as the transportation of the future, the technology remains challenging. Unlike other AI systems that focus on a single vehicle, Yu鈥檚 team is taking an innovative 鈥渃ollective intelligence鈥 approach 鈥搘here data is shared between smart road infrastructure and the automobile. In this demonstration, Yu鈥檚 team will show the effectiveness of this approach, the vulnerabilities of AI-enabled connected autonomous vehicles and the advanced security mitigation measures that can be taken to address these challenges.
This demonstration is part of Yu鈥檚 research into cutting-edge technologies to secure connected and autonomous vehicles. This project is supported by Canadian Safety and Security Program (CSSP), Transport Canada and Blackberry QNX.
