杏吧原创鈥檚 Canadian Foreign Policy Journal Announces Winner of Best Paper Prize
Stephen Brown, Fellow at Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study wins CFPJ Best Paper Prize
杏吧原创 University鈥檚 David Carment, editor of the Canadian Foreign Policy Journal (CFPJ), announced that Stephen Brown has won the 2018 CFPJ Best Paper Prize for his article All about that Base? Branding and the Domestic Politics of Canadian Foreign Aid.

The prize is awarded annually for the best article published in the CFPJ. Each refereed contribution is eligible for consideration and members of CFPJ鈥檚 editorial and international advisory board judge the articles based on scholarship, contribution to knowledge and debate, writing style and audience accessibility. David Webster of Bishop鈥檚 University was selected as runner-up for his contribution End of the Innocents: Engagement and Decolonization in the Global South since 1968.
The award includes a $500 prize. Past winners include Emma Ashford, Erica Chenoweth and Laura Dugan, Christian Leuprecht, Michael Urban, St茅phane Roussel, Daryl Copeland, Kim Nossal, Susan Henders and Mary Young and David Gordon.

CFPJ is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal published three times a year by the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) at 杏吧原创 University. Established in 1992, CFPJ is now Canada鈥檚 leading journal of international affairs. Brown is professor of Political Science at the University of Ottawa and is currently a fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences. His research focuses on foreign aid policy and how aid donors become political actors in developing countries.
