In this talk, Mingarelli will discuss Leonardo da Vinci鈥檚 work in the realm of mathematics 鈥 specifically in the areas of arithmetic and geometry.

Mingarelli will explore how da Vinci spent close to 20 years trying to 鈥渟quare the circle鈥 and solve mathematical problems that, today, are known to be unsolvable.
