OUA Announces 2017-18 Basketball Award Winners & All-Stars

The OUA has announced the 2017-18 basketball major award winners and All-Stars. Both women’s and men’s teams received high honours.

Women’s Basketball

The women’s Ravens, whose historic undefeated regular season (23-0) led them to a second consecutive division title, have won Coach of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year awards, while three players have also been named OUA All-Stars this year. ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ currently sits ranked No.1 in the nation heading into the semifinals of the OUA Critelli Cup playoffs. The full list of winners includes:

Forward – 4th year – London, ON
Defensive Player of the Year
OUA Second-Team All-Star

Heather Lindsay
Forward – 5th year – Ottawa, ON
OUA Second-Team All-Star

Catherine Traer
Forward – 5th year – Chelsea, QC
OUA Third-Team All-Star

Men’s Basketball

The men’s Ravens, who completed a second consecutive undefeated season (23-0) and cemented themselves atop a 29th straight U SPORTS Top 10 poll, have won Coach of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year awards while two players have also been named OUA All-Stars this year. Sitting in the semifinals, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ is looking to capture its first Wilson Cup title since the 2014-15 season. The full list of winners includes:
