Former Premier of Quebec Jean Charest to Deliver 杏吧原创鈥檚 Annual Bell Lecture
Former Quebec premier Jean Charest will deliver a lecture at 杏吧原创 University entitled Change, Trends and Canada hosted by the Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs, of the Faculty of Public Affairs (FPA). It is the annual Dick, Ruth, and Judy Bell Lecture.
When: Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at 7 p.m.

Charest will share his unique perspective on current international trends, including trade agreements, technological change, international politics and other topics essential for understanding national and international relations.
Charest will discuss the future of NAFTA and its impact on the Canadian business landscape. He will also address Canada鈥檚 commitment to strengthening its place in the world and global challenges.
This event is part of the FPA Research Month.

First elected in 1984, Charest is one of Canada鈥檚 most recognized political figures. During his political life he served as deputy prime minister, leader of the federal Progressive Conservative Party, leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, and Quebec premier.

The Dick, Ruth, and Judy Bell Lecture is an annual event that honours the contributions of individuals to the political and public life of Canada. Speakers include individuals who have been active in politics, public service or distinguished scholars in political science. The lectures themselves are devoted to discussions of political subjects.
