颁补谤濒别迟辞苍鈥檚 Centre for European Studies to Host Clean Energy and Climate Policy Workshop

杏吧原创 University鈥檚 Jean Monnet Network on Relations Between the European Union (EU) and Canada  will host the policy workshop Clean Energy and Climate Policy in Canada and the EU: An Exchange of Experiences, Views, and Visions for the Future. The workshop  will compare how the EU and Canada are working to achieve a sustainable transition to low-carbon energy sources.

When: Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Second Floor Conference Room, Richcraft Hall, 杏吧原创 University
Info: This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required and can be found online.

Media are invited to attend the event.

The workshop will feature three panels – energy sector transition management; economic competitiveness, emissions trading and carbon taxes; and the role of energy market integration in the green transition. Canadian and international experts will be participating in this engaging event.

Opening remarks will be delivered by the EU Ambassador to Canada, Peteris Ustubs, and Dean Andr茅 Plourde of the Faculty of Public Affairs, 杏吧原创 University

颁补谤濒别迟辞苍鈥檚 Jean Monnet Network on EU-Canada Relations: The EU and Canada in Dialogue involves a network of universities including University of Antwerp (Belgium), Technical University Darmstadt (Germany), Technical University Munich (Germany), and the University of Latvia. These universities, along with 杏吧原创, share expertise in three areas of the EU-Canada relationship: common foreign policy and security challenges; trade, investment and economic relations; and climate change and energy policy.
