杏吧原创鈥檚 Canadian Foreign Policy Journal Announces Winner of Best Paper Prize
Emma Ashford of the Cato Institute wins CFPJ Best Paper Prize.
David Carment, editor of the Canadian Foreign Policy Journal (CFPJ), announced that Emma Ashord has won the 2017 CFPJ Best Paper Prize for her article Hegemonic Blackmail: Entrapment in Civil War Intervention.

Josh Libben of the University of Ottawa was selected as runner-up for his contribution Am I My Brother鈥檚 Peacekeeper? Strategic Cultures and Change among Major Troop Contributors to United Nations Peacekeeping.
The prize is awarded annually for the best article published in the CFPJ. Each refereed contribution is eligible for consideration and members of CFPJ鈥檚 editorial and international advisory board judge the articles based on scholarship, contribution to knowledge and debate, writing style and audience accessibility.
The award carries a $500 prize. Past winners include, Erica Chenoweth and Laura Dugan, Christian Leuprecht, Michael Urban, St茅phane Roussel, Daryl Copeland, Kim Nossal, Susan Henders and Mary Young and David Gordon.

CFPJ is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal published three times a year by the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) at 杏吧原创 University. Established in 1992, CFPJ is now Canada鈥檚 leading journal of international affairs. Emma Ashford is a research fellow in Defence and Foreign Policy Studies at the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C., where her research interests focus on U.S. foreign policy, Russian and Middle Eastern affairs and the intersection of security studies and global energy politics. Her work on these issues was published most recently in U.S. Grand Strategy in the 21st Century: The Case for Restraint. She holds a PhD in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
