ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ to Host Policing Symposium – From Mayerthorpe to Moncton: The Unanswered Questions
ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University will host a symposium to explore issues impacting Canadian policing at the event From Mayerthorpe to Moncton: The Unanswered Questions. This symposium will bring together key figures in the debate about challenges facing police in the 21st century. It will include a keynote address by Louis-Philippe Thériault, president of the Mounted Police Professional Association of Canada.
When: Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Room 2000, Minto Centre for Advanced Studies in Engineering Building, ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University

This symposium will discuss the problems and crises facing Canada’s National Police Service. Speakers include Darryl Davies, instructor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Rob Creasser, spokesperson for the Mounted Police Professional Association of Canada, Alain Babineau, retired staff sergeant with the RCMP, and Dan Donovan, publisher and managing editor of Ottawa Life Magazine.
