Music Care Conference Registration Now Open
ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Music is proud to be a partner for the , held on Friday October 27that ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Dominion-Chalmers Centre. This annual national event brings together community members who are interested in music and care. This educational and inspirational conference identifies and integrates common themes and issues using music across the care spectrum and highlights the social and wellness implications of music in care.
Presenters are experts in their field either through academic training, clinical or life experience. Participants include allied healthcare providers, family and volunteer caregivers, care receivers, musicians, faith-based and community agencies, students and the community-at-large. Some of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Music Faculty will be presenters: Kathy Armstrong, Jesse Stewart and Ellen Waterman. In addition, well-known R&B/Soul singer Jully Black will be the keynote performer! speaker.
Participants with experience:
- The healing power of music
- An expanded understanding of the role music plays in health and wellness
- A heightened awareness of new music care resources, technologies, research, methodologies, stakeholders, musical effects in care
- A network of music in care stakeholders across Canada
- Strengthened personal relationships between regional music in care partners
The 15th Canadian Music Care Conference in 2023 is presented by MUSIC CARE by Room 217â„¢ in partnership with Music and Health Research Institute – U of Ottawa, ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University Music, Radical Connections, and the Community Music Schools of Toronto.
