Esther McCutcheon, Student

Esther McCutcheon graduated from St Lawrence College with an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources, and from Laurentian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Honours Degree. After working several years in the private sector, she accepted a position as the Operations Manager for the Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Animal Centre.

Over the course of her time at the shelter, she led the team through many organizational changes, as well as thousands of homeless pet adoptions across Ontario. Most recently, Esther accepted a position with the Ontario SPCA as their very first Strategic Initiatives Manager, focusing on project management and strategic planning.

Esther has volunteered for almost ten years with a local charity providing humanitarian relief for specific communities in Peru, Zambia and Uganda, subsequently joined the board in 2018 and accepted an appointment as the Home Director in 2020.

Always striving to better herself, Esther is honoured to join the 11th cohort of the MPNL Program. The connections and education will complement her career as she strives to grow and be a changemaker in the industry.
