Canada鈥檚 Foundations: The Strategies of Philanthropy

As part of PhilanthroTHINK, the Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership program, at 杏吧原创 University, hosted “Canada鈥檚 Foundations: The Strategies of Philanthropy” on Feb. 23, 2023, featuring three speakers. This is one-hour recording of the event:

Hilary Pearson, former president of Philanthropic Foundations Canada, discussed her new book, , which offers a portrait of today鈥檚 foundation landscape and highlights organizations that are acting on some of the most pressing social and economic challenges of our time.

Arti Freeman

Arti Freeman, Founding CEO of , spoke about Definity, a registered charity dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Canadians, particularly in marginalized and underserved areas. Definity Foundation makes grants to registered charities that address the health and environmental impacts of inequality through community-based services, advocacy and awareness initiatives, and research and knowledge development.
