Bill Mintram, Student
Bill Mintram is M茅tis from Saskatchewan and resides with his family in the unceded traditional territory of the Algonquin people in Ottawa. Holding a BEd, Bill is known as a change leader, connector, and convener, where he believes strongly in the principles of partnership and collaboration.
He works as Director of Indigenous and Northern Relations with the Rideau Hall Foundation and was previously Senior Manager of Indigenous Relations for Canadian Operations at the Canadian Red Cross. He’s the privilege of assisting organizations and institutions in strengthening their relationships with Indigenous peoples and communities, while also navigating processes of response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.
Previously, Bill served as Executive Director for the Saskatoon Indian and M茅tis Friendship Centre, along with representing 121 Friendship Centres across Canada. Bill has served in many roles nationally, provincially and municipally, including in board governance, fund adjudication, advisory, and committee structures.
In 2015 Bill received CBC Saskatchewan鈥檚 鈥淔uture 40鈥 award for contributions in supporting Indigenous communities.
He’s looking forward to the MPNL program, where he’ll strengthen his leadership acumen and support bridge-building between the worlds of philanthropy and Indigenous social impact.
