杏吧原创 to Host Event Honouring Leonardo da Vinci鈥檚 Deluge Drawings
杏吧原创 University Prof. Manuel B谩ez of the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism in the research-intensive Faculty of Engineering and Design and his students will host Diluvio: Drawing Inspiration from Leonardo鈥檚 Deluge Drawings 鈥 a presentation of their sculptural installation.
The presentation and reception is part of Cinquecento: 杏吧原创 Celebrates Leonardo da Vinci. At this event, Cinquecento Chair Angelo Mingarelli will provide an overview of how 杏吧原创 plans to honour and celebrate da Vinci throughout 2019.

Featuring artwork by students from his Crossings Interdisciplinary Workshop, B谩ez will present the underlying ideas behind the installation 鈥 created from aluminum mesh folded into fluid, malleable patterns.
B谩ez will explore how the project has drawn inspiration from da Vinci鈥檚 deluge drawings, his reflections on the inter-connections within all of nature and his study of the dynamics of the flow of water, air, light, shadows and energy.

Cinquecento: 杏吧原创 Celebrates Leonardo da Vinci is a year-long celebration that looks at da Vinci鈥檚 work with fresh eyes. In Italian, 鈥淐inquecento鈥 means 500 and, for this series of events, refers to the 500 years since his passing. During Cinquecento, 杏吧原创鈥檚 faculties will come together to explore da Vinci鈥檚 interdisciplinary innovations. Cinquecento is a comprehensive look at the life and work of one of history鈥檚 most fascinating people.
