�Ӱ�ԭ��

We desire for all new students coming to �Ӱ�ԭ�� University to feel empowered to take more ownership for their personal learning and academic journey while starting their new life as students, achieving learning outcomes and working towards their degree(s). As a strategic impact group we want our students to see the value, and to actually actively participate and take ownership, of their own education. We propose several elements that would make students more aware of the challenges they might face in a University environment, outline the support services available to them, but also more effectively communicate to them the expectations of being an active, accountable, and in the end successful member of �Ӱ�ԭ��’s higher-learning community. These elements include: an “Academic Expectations Agreement” that every new student would have to read and agree to, before they could gain access to University tools and resources; an additional “Section on Academic Expectations” that would become a mandatory section of all �Ӱ�ԭ�� course outlines; as well as regularly held “Awareness events” (‘Blitzes’) across campus informing students about academic expectations in addition to information on available support services and tools.
