Mary is a PhD candidate in the department of Law and Legal Studies at 杏吧原创 University. Her research is focused on the use of infanticide law in Canada and the juridical discourses that arise from the sentencing of violent women. This includes discourses of motherhood, femininity, and violence. In her spare time, Mary is a contract instructor at Wilfrid Laurier teaching a number of undergraduate criminology courses.
