The °¾±²Ôà ³¾Ã ²µ²¹·É¾±²Ô Report
Following the release of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Final Report in 2015, many post-secondary institutions worked to revitalize, support and bring Indigenous learners and Indigenous knowledges into classrooms. In October 2018, ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ joined this collective movement and formed the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University Strategic Indigenous Initiatives Committee (CUSIIC), which published the °¾±²Ôà ³¾Ã ²µ²¹·É¾±²Ô Report in 2020.
°¾±²Ôà ³¾Ã ²µ²¹·É¾±²Ô includes 41 ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´-specific Calls to Action that encompass an overarching goal of making the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ campus a safer space for current and future Indigenous students, staff and faculty members.

The 2025 °¾±²Ôà ³¾Ã ²µ²¹·É¾±²Ô Progress Report marks the fifth anniversary of the release of °¾±²Ôà ³¾Ã ²µ²¹·É¾±²Ô and highlights the significant collective actions undertaken by colleagues across the University in collaboration with community partners to make ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ a safe and welcoming space for Indigenous students, staff and faculty. These actions continue to be complemented by a $2.5 million donation from the Joyce Family Foundation—matched by an additional $2.5 million from the University—which has allowed us to mobilize many of our intentions.

The 2024 °¾±²Ôà ³¾Ã ²µ²¹·É¾±²Ô Progress Report represents the significant collective actions that have been undertaken to address the 41 Calls to Action since the 2022 progress report. These actions continue to be complemented by a $2.5 million donation from the Joyce Family Foundation—matched by an additional $2.5 million from the University—which has allowed us to mobilize many of our intentions.

This progress report reinforces our commitment to continuing to make progress on the work that remains to be done. The full implementation of the 41 °¾±²Ôà ³¾Ã ²µ²¹·É¾±²Ô calls to action will support positive long-term change at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´, and we all have a role to play.
