New publication by Dr. Xuan Thuy Nguyen on engaging girls with disabilities in the Global South via participatory visual research
Dr. Xuan Thuy Nguyen, along with her co-authors Marnina Gonick and Tuyen Bui, recently published their latest article in the journal Global Studies of Childhood. This article uses a critical approach to arts-based research, and argues that while disabled girls experience numerous structural vulnerabilities that expose them to violence, participatory visual methods like cellphilming allow them to reframe their stories.
