30+ arts and health practitioners will share what they do in their work, as volunteers or in lived practice that combines the arts, health and community.
Co-sponsored by 杏吧原创 University and the National Arts Centre, this is the 3rd event in a series that aims to expand a community of practice among those working through the arts to improve the lives of underserved youth, new immigrants, refugees, and those in care facilities and with special needs, first at the local level and over time more widely to include national and international partners.

| 11:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. | Plenary 鈥 Sanctuary The Social Prescription Movement 鈥 Developing the full potential of underserved children, youth and families: A Day at the Museum 鈥 A collaboration between the Vanier Social Pediatric Hub, CHEO, University of Ottawa, 杏吧原创 University and the Museum of Nature with Dr. Sue Bennett, Professor Pediatrics, University of Ottawa and Dr. Heather Dunlap, Pediatric Resident, CHEO. The presentation will include a brief history of the Social Prescription movement in the UK, Canada and Ontario followed by details of a pilot project of prescribed museum passes to children, youth and their families in Vanier, Ottawa. |

Plenary session led by , Director of Social Pediatrics at CHEO and Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa with Dr. Heather Dunlap, a CHEO/uOttawa Pediatric Resident, both part of the examining social prescribing in Ontario. The presentation will include a brief history of the Social Prescription movement in the UK, Canada and Ontario followed by details of a pilot project of prescribed museum passes to children, youth and their families in Vanier, Ottawa.
* The Parlour will serve as a 鈥淩eflection Room鈥 all day, with a participatory mural wall and sand mandala. All are welcome for conversation and to share reflections on the day and on future directions.
