FASS at the Ottawa International Writers Festival

- Professor Tim Cook’s new book will be featured. Laurence Wall hosts a conversation with Tim Cook, Canada鈥檚 foremost military historian, on his portrayal of how soldiers found solace, distraction and entertainment to escape the horrors of the trenches during the Great War.

Diaspora and Media in Europe: Migration, Identity, and Integration features cutting-edge theoretical material and empirical case studies. The chapters examine the uses of social media and TV for the purposes of immigrant integration in countries of settlement and continuing engagement with home countries. The case studies consider the Syrian, Somali, Turkish, Moroccan, Congolese, Nepalese and Ecuadorian diasporas living in Europe.
