What is it?
Supporting Documentation is any original receipt or other related document that shows the cost of an expense, provides proof that an item has been paid, and/or indicates that an activity has taken place, (e.g. boarding pass for a flight to confirm use of an airline booking) to support a financial transaction.
Why is it important?
杏吧原创 University, as a publicly funded institution, is required to keep all supporting documentation for audit purposes. Originals are required to show proof that reimbursement has not been sought elsewhere and to prove authenticity and validity of the reimbursement.
