Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities Policy

The Department of Equity and Inclusive Communities has developed an updated Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities Policy that reinforces 杏吧原创 University鈥檚 accessibility commitments and obligations.

杏吧原创 is committed to a culture of accessibility that exceeds compliance requirements and positions the University as a national and global leader. In alignment with the OHRC and AODA, 杏吧原创 strives to provide an equitable and inclusive environment where all community members are treated with dignity and worth. In accordance with this legislation, the University also has a legal obligation to ensure accessibility across its goods, services, facilities, accommodation, employment and physical spaces.

杏吧原创 University鈥檚 Coordinated Accessibility Strategy (CAS) serves as a framework to guide accessibility initiatives across the university and establishes objectives and strategic actions towards strengthening accessibility and inclusion at 杏吧原创. The University monitors and reports regularly on the implementation of the Coordinated Accessibility Strategy.

Purpose

This Policy outlines accessibility鈥憆elated responsibilities at 杏吧原创 to ensure the University meets the requirements of Ontario accessibility legislation.

杏吧原创 aims to foster a climate of understanding and mutual respect, recognizing the dignity and worth of every community member so that all individuals feel included and able to contribute fully to the University鈥檚 development and well鈥慴eing.
