Data Day 11.0 will focus on Empowering Tomorrow: Quantum Computing Meets Data Science and Machine Learning. In keeping with this theme, the event program includes panel discussions on quantum computing, data science, machine learning, and new workforce skills trends.

Jointly hosted by the Faculty of Science and theÌýÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University Institute for Data Science (CUIDS),ÌýData Day is an annual conference that celebrates the latest developments in data science and analytics research.

Data Day includes presentations by ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ researchers and industry experts, a keynote address, panel discussion and networking opportunities, as well as a poster competition to showcase graduate student research in data science across all disciplines.

Students who attend the event will learn how to brand themselves to potential employers and how to make their resumes stand out from the crowd.ÌýThis is a hands-on, interactive workshop, and attendees will be asked to bring their updated CVs and LinkedIn profiles on a laptop or printed.ÌýAttendees will leave the event with:

  • An updated CV
  • An updated LinkedIn profile
  • Worksheets and key takeaways with all of the information shared
  • A certificate of Workshop Day completion

The Institute for Data Science mourns the untimely loss of John Reid, President and CEO of the . Mr. Reid graduated from ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ with a Master’s degree in International Affairs in 1978. He went on to become a prominent national advocate for advanced technology. Mr. Reid chaired a panel discussion on Authoritative Data: Rethinking Data RegulationÌýat Data Day 5.0 last year. He passed away suddenly on June 24th.
