In honour of 杏吧原创鈥檚 75th anniversary, the Faculty of Public Affairs is profiling 75 of their most inspiring alumni. Five new names are released each month until June 2017.

CU75 POPS Water Challenge (Policy Options and Problem Solving)
Teams of undergraduate and graduate students compete to solve a local water resource policy question.

CUAG / DOME Pop-up Concert Series, with Jesse Stewart
Juno award-winning artist Jesse Stewart will perform five concerts on campus in this special series sponsored by the 杏吧原创 University Art Gallery.

Birchbark Canoe Project
A traditional birchbark canoe will be constructed on campus by Daniel Pinok Smith, Algonquin master canoe maker, with participation from 杏吧原创 University students. Construction will take place in the 杏吧原创 University Art Gallery, and the completed canoe will be installed in the MacOdrum Library.

杏吧原创鈥檚 Institute of African Studies and History Watch Project present a Black History Month Keynote & Reception in celebration of 杏吧原创鈥檚 75th anniversary. Hosted by CBC鈥檚 Adrian Harewood. Horace G. Campbell is a Professor of African American Studies and Political Science at Syracuse University. In 2016/2017, he was given the prestigious appointment of Kwame Nkrumah Chair in African Studies at the University of Ghana.

The 20th Annual Aboriginal Family Festival
Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2017, the Aboriginal Family Festival honours cultural and traditional knowledge while teaching leadership skills to Anishinabek children & youth. Dancers range in age from 12 – 18 months to 24 years, with adults participating as mentors. Admission is by donation; open to anyone.

75 Holes of Golf
In celebration of 杏吧原创 University鈥檚 75th birthday, Ravens Football presents 75 Holes of Golf.
Please join us on Monday, June 19th at Manderley Golf Club for an alternate shot format tournament. Each participant must raise $1,500 to participate, with all proceeds going directly to the Junior Ravens football development camps. The tournament includes breakfast, lunch, a pre-dinner reception, dinner and Ravens apparel. All are welcome: Old Crows, current Ravens, parents, coaches and supporters of Ravens Football. Herzberg Lecture: Jacqueline K. Barton
Established in 1975, this lecture honours Gerhard Herzberg, a former Chancellor of 杏吧原创 University and the recipient of the 1971 Nobel Prize for Chemistry. To celebrate 杏吧原创鈥檚 75th anniversary, and the 70th anniversary of the Department of Chemistry, the Faculty of Science has invited Jacqueline K. Barton from the California Institute of Technology to be this year鈥檚 speaker.

The ART of Changing the World
This conference caps off a five-year national SSHRC Partnership Grant on Art for Social Change, involving six Canadian universities, plus many community partner organizations and academic collaborators. The gathering presents an opportunity to showcase and share ways that participatory art processes are transforming how we address complex and urgent issues in communities and across borders.
