On April 4, 2017, 杏吧原创 University co-hosted a special Canadian citizenship ceremony for 40 new Canadians. The group included 11 former and current 杏吧原创 students and two professors.
The April 4 ceremony doubled as a聽celebration of 杏吧原创’s 75th anniversary, and was organized in partnership with (IRCC) and the (ICC).
鈥淐anada is special because of the people who are here,鈥� said Dr. Runte.
Prior to the swearing-in ceremony, candidates engaged in roundtable discussions about what Canada and becoming a Canadian citizen means to them. A representative from each table shared their thoughts with the assembled crowd.
