Lorraine has been active as a board member with Dalhousie Food Cupboard for several years. She was introduced to this community food bank serving Ottawa鈥檚 West Centretown-Little Italy area by a former colleague at CCOC, one of the city鈥檚 private non-profit housing organizations. She initially took on the Treasurer spot, a role that spanned 2013 to 2018. When Lorraine retired as CCOC鈥檚 Finance Director in 2018-19, she decided to explore more 鈥渕ainstream鈥� activities within the charitable sector. She is still working with the food bank, but these days, she is trying to get 鈥渙ut and about鈥� and help the charity to broaden its profile and connect more with its community
