The dash to the finish line for the (CETA) has spurred a flurry of articles in the news media on the issue. One recent reporter asked CES’s about his opinion on recent聽negotiations. In the Article Professor Leblond said:

鈥淭he end is always the most difficult part because you keep all the hot issues, the most politically sensitive ones to the end. That鈥檚 where a lot of horse-trading and compromises get made.聽The ideal scenario is we conclude our deal with the Europeans. Then the Europeans say, 鈥榃e did our deal with the Canadians. Let鈥檚 use that as a basis for the negotiations [with the U.S.]鈥.鈥
