Prof. Kamal Hossain hosts Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology
Congratulations to Professor Kamal Hossain for successfully hosting the Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Prof. Borhan Badruzzaman at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University.
During the visit, Profs. Hossain and Badruzzaman met with senior ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University executives including Vice-President (Academic) Dr. Pauline Rankin, Associate Vice-President (Research and International) Dr. Betina Appel Kuzmarov, and the former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Design, Dr. Larry Kostiuk.
Additionally, a tour of CEE’s state-of-the-art laboratories was also arranged. There was also meetings with several CEE Faculty members including Profs. David Lau, Siva Sivathayalan, Jennifer Drake, Mohammad Beshir. These meetings and tours showcased ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´’s ongoing research programs, laboratory capabilities, and innovating initiatives.
Some of the key developments of this meeting includes:
• Development of a joint five-year academic program
• Student and faculty exchange initiatives
• Collaborative research projects on topics such as water quality administration
Follow-up meetings will take place to continue to support these research initiatives.
