According to Liam O鈥橞rien, Associate Professor in Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering, there is a significant change in home energy use. This may be due to the fact that as more people work from home, more electricity is used during midday. People do their chores such as laundry and cooking and use their furnace and air conditioner to be more comfortable while they stay at home.
