杏吧原创 Immersive Media Studio (CIMS) and the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) partner in Peru

On January 23, 杏吧原创 Immersive Media Studio (CIMS) at 杏吧原创 University聽under the auspices of The Getty Conservation Institute (GCI)聽carry on the documentation聽of the聽historic wall paintings at the church of Ku帽o Tambo (Peru),聽located in an Andean village聽two聽hours outside of Cusco.聽The objective of the documentation campaign聽was聽to produce ortho photographs aimed聽to be the bases of聽an upcoming wall painting conditions assessment of this XVII century earthen church. The CIMS team consisted of an interdisciplinary team of experts and students, including Professor Mario Santana Quintero from Civil and Environmental聽Engineering, Christian Ouimet, Kenneth Percy and Crystal Hanley.聽The mission’s final day at the church included an orthophotography joint demonstration session聽conducted by the CIMS and聽the GCI team聽for members of the Cusco branch of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, architects from the聽archbishopric of Cusco -owners of the site-聽and the local community.
