Biology Postdoc – Tom Kazmirchuk Wins Second Popular Award at McMaster Research Competition
Our Biology Postdoc – Dr. Tom Kazmirchuk has made an impressive mark at McMaster University鈥檚 prestigious Appetizers for the Mind research competition. As the only in-person finalist from outside the Greater Toronto Area and the first-ever 杏吧原创 representative, Dr. Kazmirchuk delivered a compelling research talk that earned him the Second Popular Award, based on audience votes.
The event, held on March 5, 2025, featured a lineup of postdoctoral researchers presenting their work in an engaging format. Attendees, both in-person and online, had the opportunity to vote for their favorite talk. Dr. Kazmirchuk鈥檚 strong showing reflects not only his expertise but also the growing presence of Biology researchers on a national stage.
Dr. Kazmirchuk is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Ashkan Golshani鈥檚 lab in the Department of Biology.
