Dexter “Sunny Boy” Dimova (QEII scholar, PhD candidate, He/Him) first joined the Barry Lab in 2020 for his BSc honours project, during which he synthesized . After his co-op with the , where he adapted nanocomposite materials with polymer coatings and boron nitride nanotubes, Dexter rejoined the Barry Lab for his MSc in 2023 and has fast-tracked into his PhD. He is now an researcher focusing on Group III (yttrium and scandium) complexes as potential ALD precursors.
He is the gas manager for the Barry Lab.
